Having
grown up in small towns in Oregon and Washington, Stevenson
has always felt like home to me. Moving here in 1992, I found
this venerable building near foreclosure, gutted to the walls
and built an apartment upstairs to have a place to live.
I started construction on the restaurant in March
and opened for business June 16, 1993. Running a joint like this in this small
town has been a unique experience that I would not trade for anything. The astounding
natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge, the progressive city leadership and
the supportive community has made living and working in Stevenson a pleasure.
I sincerely hope you enjoy all that Big River Grill, and Stevenson, have to offer.
